About Us

C.Morello was established in Europe in early 1930. Edgar and Carmen Morello arrived in Australia in 1950 and settled in Preston Melbourne.

From the garage of his home, Mr. Morello sold photoceramics and synthetic marble statues imported from Italy to a small clientele of Monumental Masons in the area. These products would come by sea and take 3 to 4 months to arrive.

With age, illness and the death of his wife, Mr. Morello could not keep up with the demand for Monumental products, so in 1978 Mr. Morello’s nephew John Camilleri, joined the company and moved the business to a small shop in High Street, Preston. From here John started to import Bronze statuary and accessories from Italy into Australia becoming the sole distributor of Caggiati Bronze.

By 1997 with an extensive range of products and customers which expands throughout Australia and New Zealand, Morello moved to bigger premises, still in the Preston area. C.Morello changed their name in 2000 to C.Morello (Australia) Pty Ltd and in November 2008 C.Morello welcomed William Ashcroft Australia hence the name change to Morello/Ashcroft Australia. Ashcroft Australia had been supplying the Monumental Masons of Australia and New Zealand since 1947. The name Morello/Ashcroft Australia are now one of the same company and together supply a wide range of products and remain a major supplier to the Monumental Masons, Cemeteries and the Funeral Industry.
